Loma Linda University Adventist Health
Sciences Center

Loma Linda University Medical Center  |  LLUMC is an academic, tertiary-care medical center with 647 beds and 5,000 employees. Annually, there are over 21,000 admissions and 500,000 outpatient visits. The Medical Center is internationally known for innovations in infant heart transplantation and proton beam therapy.

Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital  |  Completed in 1993 adjoining LLUMC, the Children’s Hospital has 275 beds, over 8,000 annual admissions and over 160,000 annual outpatient visits. This is the only children’s hospital in the Inland Empire.

LLUMC-East Campus  |  Located a few blocks east of LLUMC, LLUMC-East Campus has 120 licensed beds. The family practice residency program based here offers a community hospital setting with tertiary care rotations at LLUMC.

Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center  |  As the premier provider of mental health in the region, the BMC contains adult locked and voluntary units, adolescent and child units, a chemical dependency program, and day treatment programs. Annual admissions exceed 2,400.

Loma Linda University School of Medicine  |  LLUMC serves as the major clinical teaching site for the largest medical school in the state of California. In addition to the School of Medicine that accepts 175 students each class, Loma Linda University offers degrees in Allied Health, Bioethics, Dentistry, Graduate Studies, Nursing, Public Health, and Pharmacy.

Public Health Care

Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Affairs Medical Center  |  Completed in 1977 with a total of 250 beds, the Pettis VAMC is located just a few blocks from LLUMC. It was recently the winner of the Carey Award for Organizational Excellence, the Federal equivalent to the Baldridge Award.

Riverside County Regional Medical Center  |  This 439-bed county facility opened in 1998.   The hospital is located in Moreno Valley, CA, about a 15-minute drive from Loma Linda.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center  |  This is a 373-bed county hospital serving the San Bernardino County.  It is located in Colton within a 10-minute drive west from Loma Linda.

Managed Care

Kaiser Fontana Medical Center  |  This is a 429-bed general acute care hospital that is part of Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program, the premier HMO in the nation. This facility offers experience in the workings of a well-established managed care setting.
